Goal

To provide an opportunity whereby nurses and NPs can learn to communicate more effectively with Spanish-speaking clients.

Objectives

Upon completion of this activity the participant:

    Strategies for Better Communications.

  5. Will be able to participate in basic conversations and develop a rapport with Hispanic patients and their families within the context of:

    Talking About Family.

  6. Will be able to participate in basic conversations and convey basic information to the patient within the context of:

    Patient Orientation.

  7. Will be able to participate in basic conversations and gather basic information from patients within the context of:

    Pain and Discomfort.
